Sally, a native of Chicago, whose interest in art began in childhood, was encouraged by her father,
Curt Perfect, an artist with notable regard in the local art community.
Sally has always lived in metropolitan Chicago. The city and surrounding area has provided her with
a wealth of subject matter and is a constant source of inspiration.
Her wildlife, floral and vanishing America series have become favorites among her admirers. Sallys
blend of sensitive perception and skillful technique, using transparent watercolor results in works
that capture the subtleties of outdoor light and atmosphere and offer visual pleasure and lasting
memories to both casual and the most sensitive, experienced viewers.
Sally has garnered many awards and commissions. Among the more notable was the American Egg Board's
invitation to decorate an Easter egg for the
2004 White House Easter egg display.
She chose to decorate it with a Chicago theme. Sally was honored to to be chosen and in April 2004,
at the egg presentation and reception in the White House visitors center, enjoyed meeting first lady Laura Bush.
In October, 1997 Sallys painting of the Park Ridge, Pickwick Theater was presented to first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton
by the Park Ridge Art League as a gift honoring Mrs. Clinton's 50th birthday.
Sally and her husband Jim, who is also an artist, reside in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
